CIMA has two main qualifications – The CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting and The CIMA Professional Qualification.
CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting
The Certificate in Business Accounting is the first CIMA Level and is made up of five modules which can be studied in any order.
The Certificate aims to provide an introduction to the concepts of management accounting and accounting & business, including management accounts, budgets and bookkeeping. Students should also gain an in-depth understanding of the economic environment in which companies have to operate.
CIMA Professional Qualification
The study route to the Chartered Management Accounting Qualification contains ten papers at four different levels: Operational, Management, Strategic and T4 Case Study. It covers decision-making and management skills, builds expertise and technical accounting and deals with strategic issues and business practices.
